What makes Kaplan Parish Hall the perfect location for my event?

We are located in the heart of Williamsburg, VA. Our facility has ample parking spaces to accommodate your guests. We are set away from the road surrounded by trees and a pond to provide your event with a private ambiance. Williamsburg is the perfect event destination location.  Our team will assist with your event planning and lodging needs.

Do you have to be Catholic to use the event spaces?

Kaplan Parish Hall is available for rental by non parishioners.   We can host your wedding reception after a ceremony at another location.  Kaplan Parish Hall is available for business and special event booking.

How many guests can Kaplan Parish Hall accommodate?

Kaplan Parish Hall can accommodate up to 300 guests for a sit-down menu and 250 with buffet menu.

Due to Covid restrictions, and reduced gathering numbers we are also able to handle smaller wedding receptions in the Zahn Lobby.  

Is alcohol allowed in Kaplan Parish Hall?

Yes.  Alcohol is allowed with the appropriate licensing.

Can I choose my own caterer for my event?

We have an Approved Catering list of vendors familiar with our facility.    If you would like to bring your own caterer there are additional fees and requirements.

During Covid restrictions, only our Approved Caterers are permitted on site.

What accommodations do you offer for those who need disability assistance? 

We offer ample disable parking spaces close to Kaplan Parish Hall.  A drop off area onto Piazza is conveniently located close to Kaplan Parish Hall entrance.  Our facility is one level to facilitate with mobility.  The spacious room allows for wheelchair accessibility.

Am I able to schedule an on-site visit to Kaplan Parish Hall on a Saturday?

Yes. We offer on-site visits during the week and on Saturday by appointment. Please contact Jennifer Murtha to schedule your visit.  A priced proposal for use of space is sent within 72 business hours of site visit.

Can I get married in the church?

Catholic non parishioners may request the use of Saint Bede Catholic Church for a Wedding Liturgy.   The Bride or Groom must be Catholic to have a Wedding Ceremony at Saint Bede.

Can I have a special event lunch or dinner in the Father Zahn Lobby? What is capacity seating?

Yes.  The Father Zahn Lobby and Father Kerrigan Kitchen are available to rent for smaller group needs.  Maximum seating for the Father Zahn Lobby is 40 with the option of a cocktail reception area.  Each event is unique.  Please discuss details with Jennifer.
